What's On?
The theme for the weekend is "The Wild West", so start planning those Cowboy, Cowgirl and Cowkids outfits and you never know, as well as having great fun you could win a special prize!
“DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE – for health and safety reasons dogs will not be permitted inside the marquees after 9:00pm due to high noise levels and restricted lighting”
Buffalo Bills Wild West Show
(Sunday Daytime)
The Briefcase Blues Brothers
(Friday Night playing live in Marquee One)
This internationally renowned band has been performing it's high energy tribute act for 13 years in the inimitable style of The Blues Brothers. All the classics are performed with an incredibly authentic live feel, perfectly recreating the energy, excitement and atmosphere of the original band and cult movie. This six-piece highly professional act will blow you away.
The most dangerous combination since nitro and glycerine
Chill Out Zone
(Friday Night relaxing in Marquee Two)
If you don't fancy dancing 'till you drop to The Blues Brothers in Marquee One, or if you have danced your socks off and want a breather, the 'Dub for Dubbers' marquee will give you that mellow vibe. The chilled and laid back sound of Dub music will have you relaxing, making all your worries float away... well at least until the kids come and drag you back to the van!
Sixteen Stone Pig
(Saturday Night playing live in Marquee One)
Sixteen Stone Pig are an awesome four piece cover band, playing music by all current indie/rock bands: Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, Greenday, The Automatic, Franz Ferdanand, Razorlite, Artic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Raconteaurs, Orson and so on. The marquee will definitely be rocking once again, Saturday night with all your favourite tunes!
The Glow Zone
(Saturday Night Party in Marquee Two)
With thousands of tracks to choose from the Glow Zone DJ will have you dancing all night long. And if you have any requests all you have to do is ask, as this disco can cater for all tastes.
If you're wondering why it is called the Glow Zone, well... The area will be flooded with UV light that will bring any and all light-coloured clothing to life. Added to this, we will be supplying you with free glow sticks and glow face paints too, to make sure that everyone has a blinding night!
PLEASE NOTE: The Glow Zone, uses strobe effect lighting and smoke machines.
Druids Brew
Druids Brew will once again be setting the vibe over the course of the weekend. For those that do not know they are a two-piece band and are the ultimate "VW" band touring extensively all over Europe in Pumpkin, their '64 Samba playing exclusively songs about Volkswagens and their unorthodox owners.
What kind of music do they play? Well it is a special style of acoustic rock to suit all ages and tastes... they call it 'Progressive Retro'.
Kids VDub Craft Workshop
Again another success from previous events (even the parents loved it) was the Children's VDub Workshop. Come along and paint and decorate your own VW Camper Van picture. There will be another treasure hunt, but this year you will be tracking down all the colourful LadyDubs hidden around the showground. Loads of fun for the family, and prizes for the winners too.
Bungee Trampolines
Imagine jumping a height of 8m in the air and doing a back flip for the first time. Well at CamperJam now you can!
Now the fun really begins... while at heights impossible to achieve on a normal trampoline and the adrenaline pumping, it may be time to attempt that first somersault. Some just choose to jump higher than they’ve jumped before, but whatever you decide to do you will be defying gravity and growing in confidence on one of our four trampolines.
We have a weight limit of 13 stone, but no age restriction, so whether you are 2 or 92 come and have a bounce!!!!!
Edwards Fun Fair
Roll Up ! Roll Up! all the fun of the traditional fairground with waltzers, dodgems and the Miami Ride, inflatable slide, hook a duck and more.
Jungle Bounce
a 12 metre inflatable activity centre for those who like to bounce, complete with all your favourite jungle characters.
Easy Rider Quad Bikes
Race around a 40 foot inflatable track
Bus Doctor
The Magazine's Bus Doctors will be running a clinic for you to come along and talk about any problems you have with your bus. Whilst they won't actually be fixing things they will be on hand to offer advice and suggestions. It is hoped they will be joined by a couple of other tech gurus so that issues from body repairs through to electrics or general running can be answered. Full details of times, location etc will be in the printed program.

Cooking 'Chili' in a Camper
The Cooking in a Camper contest takes yet another slight twist at Camper Jam! To go along with our Wild West theme for the event we aim to find the 'best chili chef' of the year by getting contestants to prepare a delicious chili in their camper van in just one hour. It is held early Saturday evening: please see the programme for details of the times. This is a judged contest. Entry is free and entry forms will be available from the Information area. There will be 10 entry places and this will be on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately competitions have to have few rules to ensure that they run smoothly:
1. Entry forms are available from the Information Centre. The completed form should be given to the Competition Manager on arrival to the arena.
2. For one person, in one hour, to prepare and cook a fantastic meal to serve two people in a camper van.
3. The food should be cooked/prepared from the ingredients provided. You are allowed to add two other ingredients that you must supply if you want.
4. Only 2 hobs and a grill may be used for cooking.
5. At the end of 1 hour the meal should be presented ready for tasting by the judges.
6. Marks are given for presentation, taste and hygiene.
7. The decision of the Competition Manager/ Judges is final.
