The Past

June 2008 saw our first show come and go. Aimed at the VW Bus market, we wanted to host an event to offer the readers of VW camper & Commercial magazine and other like-minded folk something different to the other events within the VW calendar. An event that was not only fun but friendly, safe and very much family orientated. An event where there is a great atmosphere come rain or shine. With this in mind CamperJam was born.

Having over 20 years experience of going to VW shows both as visitor and exhibitor, we knew we wanted to run an event that we would want to go to. Now 20 years older (and with 2 children in tow) I wanted to go to an event that catered for me, however none of the existing VW events have grown and changed despite the fact that their original audience has done that very thing.

Seeing events take place ever since being a young and sprightly 18 year-old (now 42 years old!). It is clear people have changed a certain amount, but many events have not adapted since their conception to cater for the ‘slightly more mature’ VW community that now has extra responsibilities... kids, wife and a dog or two!

CamperJam is aimed at audiences like me, still youthfully minded but a tad older and wiser.

So from our humble beginings we hope to nurture the show that’s a friendly place to be. Feel free to have a look back at our previous events.
